Dr. Elaine Worzala, CRE, FRICS is a clinical professor of real estate in the financial management department at Clemson University. She progressively earned all of her degrees (BBA, MS, PhD) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Before joining Clemson, she was the Charles Bendit Distinguished Scholar and Chair of the Center for Real Estate and Urban Analysis at George Washington University. She has also taught at College of Charleston, Johns Hopkins, San Diego State University, University of Aberdeen, University of San Diego, University of Connecticut and Colorado State University. Teaching interests include the introductory real estate, market analysis, valuation, and investment. She is an active member of academic and professional organizations and believes strongly in bringing relevancy to her classroom. She has over 130 publications that are found in a variety of outlets including mainstream real estate academic journals, industry-based publications and other media. She is the Academic Associate Editor of Real Estate Issues published by the Counselors of Real Estate (CRE) and is currently co-editor of an edited collection of articles on real estate education entitled The Future of Real Estate Education. She is Chair of the James R. Webb American Real Estate Society Foundation and on the board of numerous national and regional organizations including the Counselors of Real Estate Foundation. She was named a 2023 Fellow of the Real Estate Research Institute.
