A Closer Look
I have 40 years of experience in commercial real estate, as a professional in office development and multi-asset class investment management, and teaching at major universities. Since 2015 I’ve been a real estate professor at Boston College (and from 2011-2015 at Brandeis University) and have 14 years of full time teaching experience at the undergraduate and MBA level. Six years ago I also created and annually teach 3 different courses for the Boston chapter of NAIOP, in its continuing education program. I’ve also done a webinar for Wall Street Prep about commercial mortgage backed securities. Since 2011 I've written 23 original real estate case studies that I use in my various courses. Since 2017 I completed 7 consulting assignments for private developers and city agencies. Prior to starting my teaching career in 2011 I worked 27 years in the real estate industry, for a prominent NYC office developer, investment managers for pension funds and equity capital raising adviser to developers. From 1994 to 2009 I also taught real estate part time at Boston University and Babson College.
