Senior Vice President, Managing Director, Trepp, LLC

Tom Fink, Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Trepp, is responsible for developing business opportunities, with a focus in product enhancement and strategic initiatives. With over 35 years of experience working with a variety of financial and modeling assignments, Mr. Fink’s business strategy has carved a path of innovation and thought leadership for Trepp.

In his role, Mr. Fink has performed numerous high-level financial consulting engagements and has a deep understanding of the Trepp Structuring System™. In addition, he was part of the senior Trepp team that was selected from a field of 62 firms by the Federal Reserve as the sole CMBS Collateral Monitor for the Term Asset Backed Securities Loan Facility (TALF), the highly successful stimulus program instituted during the recent fiscal crisis.

Mr. Fink is a recognized industry expert, with extensive experience in diverse areas such as CMBS, leasing, economic development, and tax-exempt securities. Prior to joining Trepp, Mr. Fink directed analytical and support teams at several securities firms and served as the Chief Financial Officer at the North American Development Bank. Additionally, he served on the faculty of NYU, lecturing in corporate finance and modeling.

With a strong background in financial engineering and modeling assignments, Mr. Fink is a frequent speaker at numerous industry conferences, is regularly quoted in the press, and has appeared on CNBC’s Squawkbox. Mr. Fink has participated in various committees of the Commercial Real Estate Finance Council (CREFC) and regularly authors a quarterly market report for CREFC World. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for MISMO®.

Mr. Fink holds a BS in Foreign Service from the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and a Juris Doctor degree from Seton Hall University. In 2012, Mr. Fink was admitted to the Counselors of Real Estate, a membership organization established exclusively for real estate advisors who provide intelligent, unbiased, and trusted advice for a client or employer.
