Abstract: Time sharing has become a popular form of home ownership. With rising housing costs, most Americans cannot afford to purchase a second home or vacation home. Time sharing offers individuals the opportunity to purchase homes for use at a specific time period. This article defines the concept of time sharing, examines the impact of public policy on the practice, and analyzes several court cases dealing with various aspects of time sharing.
