(Chicago)–March 8, 2018–Joseph G. Nahas, Jr., CRE®, noted authority on real estate investment, will speak at MIPIM–the world’s largest global conference for real estate–in Cannes, France on March 13th. He is the 2018 chair of The Counselors of Real Estate® professional association, and is senior vice president, institutional marketing and investor relations, Equus Capital Partners, Inc., Philadelphia, Penn. U.S.A.
Mr. Nahas will lead a panel session which addresses how cities must adapt to accommodate the influx of “seniors” – defined as people 60 years of age or older – who are flocking to live in the world’s urban cores. Organizers of the MIPIM Conference estimate that by 2020, more than half of “seniors” will be living in cities.
The discussion will explore international approaches to developing and designing independent urban housing, services, entertainment and walkability features that appeal to older citizens.
In addition to Mr. Nahas, the panelists for the session titled, “Seniors: The New Age in Urban Space,” are Alessandro Sparaco, managing partner, Threestones Capital Management, S.A., Luxembourg; Suzanne Clase, architect, White Arkitekter AB, Sweden; Charles-Antoine Van Aeist, chief investment officer, Aedifica, Germany; and Dr. Fadi Jabri, Executive Officer, Nikken Sekkei Ltd, Japan. All are involved with design and finance of specialized housing suited to mature adults.
The session will take place March 13 at 3:15 pm in the Market Trends Room of the Palais des Festivals, Cannes.
