Bill Brownfield has been in the commercial real estate industry since 1978 and is a CRE and a CCIM. His office management experience began in 1981 and included over 30 million square feet of multi-tenant office buildings in Texas and the western half of the United States. Bill founded Brownfield & Associates, LLC in 1998 to focus on the acquisition and disposition of commercial properties and has managed transactions valued in excess of $1.3 billion (office, self-storage & retail) while also providing Site Selection and Counseling Services. One of Bill’s longtime passions is operating expense escalations. He is the author of The Escalation Handbook for Office Buildings, Third Edition published continuously since 1991 by BOMA International and used by thousands of office buildings to calculate tenant invoices. Bill co-founded Brownfield & Mayerhofer, Inc. in 1998 and created ALPHA Office Escalations software (www.AlphaOfficeOnline.com) to provide an automated platform for OpEx billing methodologies set out in his book.
