The CRE Pacific Northwest Chapter hosted speaker Greg Johnson, president of Wright Runstad & Co. at their March meeting. His presentation focused on The Spring District, the company’s new 36-acre transit-oriented mixed-use neighborhood now under development. When completed, the neighborhood will have over 5.3 million square feet of office buildings, apartments, hotels, retail outlets, and recreation/entertainment facilities. The development is centered on a future light rail station which will connect to the main Microsoft campus to the east and downtown Seattle to the west. Bellevue is a classic ‘edge city’ to the east of Seattle across Lake Washington. Jon B. Willis, CRE is chapter chair.
