W. Allen Morris, CRE, received the Distinguished Citizen Award by the Boy Scouts of America’s South Florida Council. The award recognizes leaders in South Florida who have made a substantial impact on the local community and its residents. Morris, who was a boy scout as a child, said, “…every day of my life I use the lessons and embrace the values I learned as a scout. I carry a pocket knife because I believe I should always ‘be prepared.’ And as a camper I was taught, ‘Always leave a campsite better than you found it.’ That applies in life to an organization, a business or a community. “
