In the first article in a national series in Bisnow, Andrew Nelson, CRE, chief economist-USA, Colliers International, San Francisco, was extensively quoted on the subject of skylines. In “Why Are We So Obsessed with Skylines?” Andrew addressed why viewing the skyline from the vantage point of a high-rise building in the central business district is so appealing to companies and their employees—particularly Millennials and others who seek the convenience of a live/work/play environment.
Other Counselors who shared their views on skylines of America’s cities included Richard Hanson, CRE, principal, development, Avison Young, Chicago; Glenn Silva, CRE, president, KLM Realty Advisors, Dallas, in “Commercial Real Estate Execs: Why They Love City Skylines Part 1”; and William Kinn, CRE, partner, Kinn Real Estate Counselors, LLC, New York City, in Part 2 of the series.
