Abstract: Hidden beneath the recent explosion in the single-family home market are developments that suggest changes in what we do in the home that could, in time, have significant impact on the kind of home we want. What’s happening is being fueled by the current IT revolution and is reflected in our social activities, work at home and home schooling of our children. My concern in this article is with possible upcoming impacts of those changes on the amount of living space that will be needed.
