Abstract: The author explains how the confidential and fiduciary relationships between real estate counselor and client can vary from job to job and how these variations affect the ethics of counseling. Two examples are used to demonstrate typical ethical problems resulting from a misunderstanding of the counselor-client relationship. Suggestions for avoiding and solving the ethical problems are also offered to the counselor.
