Abstract: The real estate field is undergoing a managerial crisis, as the need for managers who understand the changing field and have a grasp on the new theories and technologies far exceeds the supply. The results include disarray in organizations and excessive turnover of personnel. In order to combat this crisis, both students and business schools must understand the nature of the ‘new’ real estate field. Students should understand that a career in real estate offers great opportunities for advancement, provided they receive the correct training. Business schools and universities should recognize the importance of a modern real estate education; they should construct new curriculums for the real estate field.
