Abstract: The retail market in the United Kingdom is undergoing dramatic change, bringing about a major restructuring. The result of this change is closed stores, along with banks and other investors taking a cautious approach when investing in the retail market. This article draws, in the mind of the reader, a similarity or contrast between the U.K. and the property market in which the reader operates. The restructuring in the U.K. retail market affects all markets and it impacts those who develop or invest in retail development.
