Abstract: Foreign investors seem to be providing an increasing amount of capital for U.S. real estate. Although there are insufficient data to permit an adequate assessment of the importance of this type of investment, enough is known to warrant further study. This article explores the prospects for the continuing flow of foreign investment into U.S. realty during the 1980s, especially in the light of existing theories of foreign investment.
