Abstract: When real assets constitute a sizable portion of a corporation’s total assets, the corporation must recognize the strategic importance of its real assets and plan to manage them efficiently. This article presents a strategic planning tool, called the Critical Success Factors approach, which enables a corporation to determine the role that corporate real asset management should play in meeting its objectives.
