Abstract: Recent market conditions are prompting more corporate office project sponsors to desire and seek ownership or development control. The lack of development expertise in the typical corporate organization and the willingness of investment developers to provide the service are expanding the practice of development management. It is questioned, however, whether the investment developer – an entrepreneur and independent soul – can embrace the development objectives and accept the procedural constraints of the corporate client.
