The highlight of the chapter calendar is once again the annual lobster bake at Essex Yacht Club. This year’s event will feature speakers Nancy Cowser, executive director of seCTer ( Southeastern CT Enterprise Region, and Sean Nugent, President of Preston Economic Development. They will cover the rise of the defense industry in Groton/New London, the impact of the changes to the gaming laws to the State, as well as opportunities they see for economic growth.
