Paul leads BentallGreenOak’s U.S. Research & Strategy team and has nearly 25 years of experience as a commercial real estate market researcher and investment strategist. He joined the firm in 2011 and his work has been integral to the formulation and execution of investment strategies on behalf of BentallGreenOak’s clients. Through rigorous analysis of data and qualitative information, his team tracks market conditions, identifies inflection points, and develops forward-thinking views on key market drivers and disruptors. Paul spearheaded the launch of BentallGreenOak’s data science initiatives, resulting in the successful creation of machine learning models for market selection, among other innovations.

Prior to joining BentallGreenOak, Paul was a Senior Financial Economist for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, advising the agency on risks to national bank commercial real estate portfolios. He also worked as a Senior Real Estate Economist for Property & Portfolio Research and a Director of Research for apartment developer, JPI.

Paul is a frequent speaker at industry events and the author of a variety of articles and reports on commercial real estate topics. He is actively involved in NCREIF, recently serving on the NCREIF/PREA Reporting Standards Council, and is a vice-chair of NCREIF’s Research Committee. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics with departmental honors from Assumption College and holds the Counselor of Real Estate (CRE) designation.
