The Bend Live/Work Redevelopment

Watershed Community Development is a nonprofit community development umbrella organization for Equinox Studios, which has developed a two block complex of art studios, art education facilities, and creative light industrial uses at the south end of Georgetown.  Equinox Studios also developed the Inscape Arts redevelopment of the old INS building at the south end of the International District, as well as taking over management in future development of the Georgetown Steam Plant.

Acquisition of four and a half blocks for the Bend redevelopment on 4^th Ave S occurred in 2020 and 2022. A ground lease has been negotiated on the southernmost block and an affordable housing developer is slated to start construction here over the next 12 or 18 months.

We will get a presentation on the proposed Bend Live/Work redevelopment, a tour of some of the spaces in Equinox Studios, and then we’ll have time to socialize on site with beers and tacos.
