Counselors In The Classroom

Overview

The Counselors of Real Estate (CRE) is a premier association of real estate professionals, comprised exclusively of leaders in the field of real property advisory services—otherwise known as “real estate counseling.” Membership in The Counselors of Real Estate is highly selective and extended by invitation only. A stringent process of selection ensures that individuals awarded the CRE credential have attained the highest levels of expertise and achievement in their field.

What Counselors Offer

The Counselor organization has recently developed the “Counselors in the Classroom” Program to formalize the relationship between CRE members and real estate’s academic community. Professors seeking a speaker or guest lecturer with practical “in the trenches” experience in real property and the flair to share that experience in a compelling way need look no further than The Counselors of Real Estate. The diversity of the CRE membership coupled with our ability to identify proven experts in virtually every real estate specialty enables The Counselors to tailor presentations to the specific needs of the classroom. Specialties include:

Capital Formation Investment
Corporate Real Estate Legal Strategy
Development Pension Funds
Dispute Resolution Portfolio Management
Economics Public/Private Partnership
Environmental/Green REITs
Ethics and Standards of Practice Urban Development
Finance Valuation/Appraisal
Highest and Best Use Workouts/Foreclosures

What Students Receive

Students benefit from direct exposure to those with proven track records in real estate…actual decision makers who have taken the risk or assessed it…who have utilized the information and processes covered in the classroom and succeeded or not succeeded for reasons they are prepared to share with the invaluable benefit of hindsight.
